Ingredients
  

  • 200 g dark chocolate chopped
  • cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Method
 

  1. Finely chop the dark chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl.
  2. Heat ½ cup of the heavy cream until just simmering.
  3. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate.
  4. Let it sit for 2 minutes.
  5. Stir until the chocolate is completely smooth.
  6. Allow the chocolate mixture to cool to room temperature.
  7. In a separate bowl, whip the remaining 1 cup heavy cream with the powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  8. Gently fold one-third of the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture.
  9. Fold in the remaining whipped cream until fully combined.
  10. Divide the mousse evenly into serving glasses.
  11. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  12. Garnish with chocolate shavings or fresh berries if desired.

Notes

  • Use high-quality dark chocolate for the richest flavor.
  • Do not overwhip the cream or the mousse may become grainy.
  • Fold gently to keep the mousse light and airy.
  • Chill thoroughly before serving for the best texture.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
