Cherry Cheesecake Egg Rolls

These Cherry Cheesecake Egg Rolls are a crispy, golden dessert filled with a rich cream cheese mixture and sweet cherry pie filling. They're quick to prepare and perfect for parties, holidays, or an easy family dessert. Serve them warm with powdered sugar or your favorite dipping sauce for an irresistible treat.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 egg roll wrappers
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1 egg beaten (for sealing wrappers)
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add the sugar and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  3. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape.
  4. Spread about 2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture in the center.
  5. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of cherry pie filling over the cream cheese.
  6. Brush the wrapper edges with beaten egg.
  7. Fold the bottom corner over the filling.
  8. Fold in both side corners tightly.
  9. Roll up completely and seal the top edge.
  10. Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
  11. Fry the egg rolls for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  12. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  13. Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
  14. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Do not overfill the wrappers to prevent bursting.
  • Seal the edges well with beaten egg.
  • Keep unused wrappers covered with a damp towel.
  • Air fry at 375°F for 8–10 minutes for a lighter version.
  • Bake at 400°F for 15–18 minutes until golden if preferred.
  • Delicious served with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in an air fryer for maximum crispiness.
