Old-fashioned oats are soaked overnight with milk, Greek yogurt, pure maple syrup, and brown sugar for a naturally sweet, comforting flavor. Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
Optional Toppings
  • Extra maple syrup
  • Chopped pecans or walnuts
  • Fresh banana slices
  • Fresh berries
  • Ground cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Add the rolled oats to a mixing bowl or jar.
  2. Pour in the milk.
  3. Add the Greek yogurt.
  4. Stir in the maple syrup.
  5. Add the brown sugar.
  6. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  7. Sprinkle in the cinnamon.
  8. Add a pinch of salt.
  9. Stir everything until well combined.
  10. Cover the container tightly.
  11. Refrigerate overnight or for at least 8 hours.
  12. Stir before serving.
  13. Add your favorite toppings and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use old-fashioned rolled oats for the best creamy texture.
  • Adjust the maple syrup to suit your preferred sweetness.
  • Add a splash of milk before serving if the oats become too thick.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Top with nuts just before serving to keep them crunchy.
