Strawberries and Cream Overnight Oats Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • ½ cup plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries diced
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Extra strawberries for topping
  • Whipped cream optional

Method
 

  1. Add the oats to a mixing bowl or mason jar.
  2. Stir in the chia seeds.
  3. Pour in the milk.
  4. Add the Greek yogurt.
  5. Mix in the maple syrup or honey.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  7. Add the pinch of salt.
  8. Fold in the diced strawberries.
  9. Mix everything until well combined.
  10. Cover and refrigerate overnight or for at least 8 hours.
  11. Stir before serving.
  12. Top with additional strawberries.
  13. Add whipped cream if desired.
  14. Serve chilled and enjoy.

Notes

  • Old-fashioned rolled oats provide the best texture.
  • Fresh strawberries give the brightest flavor.
  • Frozen strawberries can be used after thawing.
  • Add more milk if you prefer thinner oats.
  • Sweeten to taste with extra honey or maple syrup.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Top with granola for added crunch.
  • Vanilla yogurt can replace plain yogurt for extra sweetness.
